Despoiler Venerable Battle Barge Conversion
Here are some work-in-progress pictures of my ongoing project
to convert a couple plastic Chaos cruisers into a Venerable Battle Barge
for my Marine BFG fleet....
After quartering two Chaos Cruisers, I began by building the parts into a
larger hull...
Initial Hull Construction
I continued filling in the space between the two hull halves...

Next, I began to bulk up the center section with details...

All the white parts were cut from various sheets and strips of Evergreen brand
styrene plastic. The prow icon comes from a 40k Marine Dreadnought sarcophagus.
The bridge comes from a Chaos BB, with a pair of Imperial statues stuck to the sides.
Still to be added are some sort of wings to bulk out the rear of the ship.
(On my previous Despoiler conversion, I used a pair of Repulsive keel fins for
the wings, but I'm still looking in to what parts I can find easily...)
